Samsung Tab has recently launched the Samsung Tab, a touchscreen
tablet featuring integrated Google technology. The Tab aims to provide
customers with quick access to the well known Google mobile services for
a day to day use and that includes Google Search, Google Talk, Youtube,
Google Maps, Picasa and also calendar / contracts synchronization. And
if that wasn’t enough, you also have access to the Android Market that
provides you with thousands of other useful applications, fun games and
widgets, which you can download and install into your Samsung Galaxy
Tab. On top of these aspects, many other apps are released on a daily
basis.
But let’s get into the matters of things and talk about the difference between these two ingenious devices.
Screen Size
Right of the bat, the Samsung Tablet falls off short in terms of
screen size. Of course that is not a disadvantage since plenty of people
prefer the compact sizes but the iPad Apple offers 9 inches of LED IPS
display while Samsung only boasts 7 inches of TFF LCD quality.
Processor and RAM
Both of these gadgets are featuring the same type of processor
spinning at 1 GHz, although the brands are different. The Galaxy Tab is
featuring a 1 GHz Cortex A8 processor while iPad is equipped with 1 GHz
Apple A4 processor. On the other hand, in terms of RAM memory, the
Samsung tablet is featuring twice as much RAM memory as the Apple gadget
does, boasting no less than 512 MB, compared to iPad that only has 256
MB. So the Apple product is twice as slower in data processing and
opening applications.
Expandable storage
Samsung Tab and iPad come with different options in terms of Internal
Storage facilities but the former is able to extend the storage space
up to 32 GB, while the Apple product is only limited to the standard
internal space.
Camera
The Samsung Galaxy tablet has two cameras: one frontal-facing device
featuring 1.3 mega pixels, for video charting purposes and a rear-facing
camera registering 3.2 mega pixels. The iPad tablet has no cameras
equipped.
Video Playback
Interestingly enough, the iPad is able to offer a maximum of 10 hours
or video playback, while the Samsung gadget can only last for about 7
hours.
Software
The Samsung Tab features the Android 2.2 OS, which is a major
facility that offers full multitasking capability, Adobe Flash support
and also full access to all types of applications. iPad doesn’t have any
of that and the fact that it censors websites, it’s just frustrating to
a lot of people.
Phone
Another major advantage of the Galaxy Tab is that fact that it has a
phone (Bluetooth and speakerphone). Apple iPad unfortunately has no
phone.
Video Call
The Samsung Galaxy Tab allows you to make video calls that are
displayed on your wide 7 inches screen. The Apple iPad is not able to
offer you this amazing facility.
In this comparison it is pretty obvious which one of them is the best
in terms of features. Probably Apple is constructed better with devices
that have a superior quality. But the lack of so many features, so many
vital components puts the iPad on the bottom of the ladder. You can
sell your iPad and get yourself a more competent tablet. Sell used electronics online for the maximum amount of return value.
