Dubbed the ZTE Geek (sigh), it packs an Intel Atom Z2580 processor.
It's actually one of the first phones to use this particular Atom chip,
the Clover Trail+. It also boasts a 5-inch display (1280 x 720), 1 GB of
RAM, 8 GB of on-board storage, a 2,300 mAh battery and Android 4.2
Jelly Bean. Processor aside, it's not out of this world in terms of
hardware (the upcoming Galaxy S4 has at least a quad core if not an octa
core CPU, 2 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of storage). Still, it gets
points for being the first Z2580 phone.
Specs aside, there's no word on when (or if) this phone will be
launched stateside, so it's entirely possible that while the Geek is one
of the first Z2580-powered phones, it might not be the first one
launched in the United States. We'll keep you posted!
