Samsung last night put us out of our misery and unveiled the next iteration of its Galaxy smartphone,
the Galaxy S4. Set for launch in Q2 globally, we weren't holding our
breath for a precise UK release date. That said, it seems we've gotten
one anyway!
According to Pocket-Lint, the Galaxy S4 will launch on April 26 at
the Samsung Experience Store at Westfield Stratford City and all other
major operators. As we reported earlier, Three, EE, T-Mobile, and Orange
will all stock the device, as well as third-party retailers like
Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4u. No word on pricing just yet, but we'll
keep you posted.
As far as specs are concerned, previous rumors were pretty spot on. The Galaxy S4 will pack a 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED PenTile display, either an Exynos 5 or Snapdragon (depending on the region you're buying the device), 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel camera, a 2-megapixel camera up front, 16GB or 32GB of storage, and a 2,600mAh battery.
