It’s currently August 2011 and till this point Apple has not launched
a new iPhone. As probably most of you know it already, Apple usually
releases a new iPhone every year in the June (except for the original
iPhone 2G) and like every year, there is always leaked information from
inside the company that give us details about the product that is going
to be released in the near features. So let’s discuss some of the
specifications that will define the new iPhone 5 as well as how much you
are expected to pay for this amazing device.
The sources have confirmed that both iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S will be
launched in the same period of time, probably on the same date. A lot of
people will purchase the 4S instead of iPhone 5, at least at the
beginning. The reason for this is that a new model will most likely
feature a complete overhaul, for instance, in comparison to iPhone 3GS,
the iPhone 4 had a lot of changes, including a new body style and people
don’t really like too much change. Getting used to a new phone when the
other is still working great and still does the job is quite
unnecessary for most people. There has been no leaked information
regarding the shape of the new iPhone, so people are inclined to believe
there will be almost no changes to the body size and structure. The new
operating system for the Apple mobile systems, the iOS 5, is expected
to be launched in autumn, most likely in October, and the new iPhone 5
will probably be released on the same date.
One of the most important hardware features that will define the new
iPhone is the 4G capability. A lot of people might expect the 4G
technology to increase the price of the new iPhone 5, but we can see
that this wasn’t the case with the competitors handsets. On a different
note, what type of 4G version will the new Apple gadgets feature? That
is the real question. As we have noticed, the AT&T Wireless is
featuring the HSPA+ as their main 4G technology, although they have some
trials of the LTE technology in other departments. The expected GSM
version for the iPhone will probably still be the HSPA+ 4G since Apple
doesn’t take chances with unstable features that are not guaranteed to
work, like the 4G LTE in our case. Also, the new GSM/CDMA chip
combination will allow Apple to produce smartphones that will work in
both networks and this alone will have a good impact in reducing the
price.
Like any new device, it is supposed to run faster. With the A5 chip
we except a fair amount of additional power compared to the previous
version. There are rumors that suggest a 1 GHz dual core processor, but
we are not sure. There is also a high probability that the price of the
chip won’t be that expensive and overall it won’t change the cost of the
iPhone 5.
There are no mentions so far about the size of the screen. The whole
topic is a complete mystery. Plenty of internal sources suggest a 3.7
inches screen, up from 3.5 inches featured in the iPhone 4. Some other
sources also support the idea of a 4 inches display. But one thing is
certain though, the screen size will not exceed 4 inches because that
will imply significant design changes and not just deign, but a new
revamp in hardware systems, and that can’t be done in such a brief
period of time, plus the price of the iPhone would increase
significantly. So more likely Apple will opt for the medium tier of
screen sizes, ranging from 3.5 inches up to 4 inches. In terms of glass
quality, a popular trend in the past two years of smartphone production
is the use of Gorilla Glass. Apple will probably look into this feature,
since it comes with great quality for a mediocre price. Keeping the
price of the new iPhone 5 down is crucially important, now with so much
competition.
The camera featured in the iPhone 4 is a normal 5 mega pixel
rear-facing digital camera and a front-facing camera featuring VGA
quality and both are pretty much outdated. There were outdated even when
the phone was launched. The 8 mega pixel rear camera and 1.3 mega pixel
frontal camera is becoming a status quo, so the new Apple gadget will
feature no less than that, and definitely no more than that either.
In terms of pricing, we don’t expect a big hype. Taking into
consideration the past products, we can confidently say that the cost of
an iPhone 5 will remain in the same bracket as with the previous iPhone
releases. The production of iPhone 3G will cease and the iPhone 4 will
sell for about $100. The new iPhone 4S/5 will sell for $199 for the 16
GB version and $299 for the 32 GB version.
So there you have it. The new products from Apple that will be
launched probably in October this year. You can go ahead and sell your
iPhone devices before the new gadgets will be launched. In this way you
will be able to get a better price on them. If the new phones will be
launched, the prices of old devices will drop to half. That is a
certainty. You can sell used cell phones
from your home by logging on to Trade2Save.com and complete a
questionnaire. This will allow you to ship your products for them to be
sold and then receive your money. Don’t waste time, the release date is
almost near. Get a good price on your iPhones while you still can.
